Moraga was rocked by an elbow to the head but was able to scramble up to his feet, but his safety was never ensured. Once up, Figueiredo landed another elbow to the head and then slammed a crushing left uppercut to the solar plexus, causing Moraga (19-7) to crumble in a heap. Referee Dave Jobeun immediately waived it off, saving a bloodied Moraga from further punishment. The end officially came at 3:08 of the second, allowing Figueiredo to ascend to 15-0.
