Stephens is swinging for the fences early and appears to sting Edwards with an uppercut. Still pressing forward, Stephens misses with another jumping knee. As Stephens comes forward to bomb with another combination, Edwards catches him with a perfect right-handed counter that sends Stephens crashing to the canvas. Edwards smells blood and pounces, battering Stephens from side control and knocking him out cold with a nasty elbow strike. Ref Newport steps in and a dazed Stephens comes to moments later, wondering why the fight was stopped.
