Angelo Bodetti Expert Confident picked Apr 12, 2026 (6 days before fight)
Jamey-Lyn Horth

Angelo picks Jamey-Lyn Horth, citing her power, range control, and higher fight IQ. He notes that JJ Aldrich is coming off a layoff and was never dangerous, and that Horth's takedown defense is a concern but JJ is not a strong wrestler. He expects Horth to win a shutout decision.

"This should be Jamie Lynn Horth. It should be. Like we have a lot of Canadians on this card for obvious reasons. Some of them have good matchups and some of them absolutely don't."

Jamey-Lyn Horth

Big Brady picks Jamey-Lyn Horth, citing her size, strength, and physicality. He believes Horth will win in the clinch and grind out a close split decision, despite Aldrich having better striking at distance. He expects an unexciting fight.

split decision
"Give me Jamie Lynn Horth to win a very close split decision."

Cody Saftic Expert Confident picked Apr 15, 2026 (3 days before fight)
Jamey-Lyn Horth

Cody picks Jamey-Lyn Horth, citing her physical strength and ability to pressure. He notes that JJ Aldrich has mental toughness issues and tends to fade when pressured. He expects Horth to win by decision or late stoppage.

"I actually just got to take Horth to out muscle her, get her up against the cage, work her a little bit, land the bigger, more impactful blows."
CO
Connor Ruebusch Expert Confident picked Apr 17, 2026 (1 day before fight)
JJ Aldrich

Connor picks Aldrich because she is a much better technician with faster hands and superior skills everywhere. He notes that Horth is not the kind of athlete that beats Aldrich, and Aldrich has beaten similar fighters like Jillian Robertson and Vanessa Demopoulos. However, he expresses concern that Aldrich's tendency to abandon what works could make the fight closer than it should be.

Horth opened at -300, now -160; Aldrich opened at +250, now +140; Connor notes the odds are disrespectful to Aldrich
"I'm going to pick Aldrich just because like I said, this is not the level of athlete that Aldrich tends to lose to."
DI
Diary of a Pro Gambler Expert Confident picked Apr 18, 2026 (fight day)
JJ Aldrich

Aldrich is the better fighter everywhere: more technical boxing, southpaw stance, improved takedown defense, and better MMA grappling. Horth has home advantage but poor fight IQ and is an inexperienced striker. Aldrich's main issue is putting her stamp on rounds, but she should do enough to win a close decision. The odds are off; Aldrich should be at least 50%.

plus 3.5 on Aldrich at 3.80; fight likely goes to decision
"I do think Aldrich is a very good bet here. For me, at worst, this fight is 50/50."
LU
Lucrative James Expert Confident picked Apr 12, 2026 (6 days before fight)
JJ Aldrich

James picks JJ Aldrich as an underdog, believing the line is too wide. He thinks Aldrich's boxing and takedown defense will keep the fight competitive, and that Horth's advantages are overstated. He predicts a decision win.

"I'll pick JJ Aldridge cuz I'm a sports bet... JJ Aldridge to get this one via decision as another underdog is my pick."
MM
MMA Lock of the Night Expert Lean picked Apr 14, 2026 (4 days before fight)
JJ Aldrich

The host thinks Aldrich is the superior striker technically and has a strength of schedule advantage. He believes she will land more effective shots and withstand Horton's power. He notes that Horton throws with more power, which gives him pause, but sees value on Aldrich as a live underdog. He predicts Aldrich by decision.

"I still believe that there is good enough value here on Aldrich with her strength of schedule, her crisp boxing, her ability to withstand damage. I think she'll be able to land more effective shots here against Horton, and I think she'll land more of it."
PA
Paul Shaughnessy Expert Lean picked Apr 15, 2026 (3 days before fight)
JJ Aldrich

Paul picks JJ Aldrich as a slight underdog, citing her experience and plus money. He notes that both fighters are similar but Aldrich has fought better competition. He expects a close decision and likes the value on Aldrich.

"I'd rather have the plus money on on on Aldrich who has frankly fought way way more competition."
ZA
Zane Simon Expert Confident picked Apr 17, 2026 (1 day before fight)
JJ Aldrich

Zane agrees with Connor, emphasizing that Aldrich is a good technician and solid grappler who has beaten better fighters than Horth. He notes that Horth's best win is over Vanessa Demopoulos, while Aldrich has wins over better competition. He also points out that Horth is not a reckless fighter like Andrea Lee, so Aldrich may not get easy counters, but she should still win handily.

Horth opened at -300, now -160; Aldrich opened at +250, now +140; Zane calls the odds 'disrespectful'
"I'm going to pick Aldrich just because like I said, this is not the level of athlete that Aldrich tends to lose to."

Tereza Bleda vs. Jamey-Lyn Horth
BETTING PREVIEW | SCOUTING REPORT | ODDS: Bleda (-150); Horth (+120)

Round 1
Who’s ready to say goodbye to the UFC on ESPN era? The promotion decided against going out with a bang for its final show on the ESPN airwaves—at least, until the Paramount deal ends in seven years, in which case broadcasting rights will be up for grabs again. The so-called “final” pay-per-view behind us, we move towards a Fight Night card on big ESPN that should have what it takes to entertain for the next six hours. We kick things off at 125 pounds, when a pair of ladies looking to break out come to blows. In a classic matchup of Canada vs. the Czech Republic, Horth (8-2, 3-2 UFC) represents the Great White North against her European adversary Bleda (7-1, 1-1 UFC). Referee Kerry Hatley will take charge of the Octagon for the first encounter of the evening, and it starts with a respectful gloves touch.
Bleda starts off the fight aggressively by darting at her opponent to pursue a takedown, but when it is rebuffed, she takes a few punches around the eye. She fires back with offense of her own and then tries for another takedown, a single-leg entry after a left hook. Horth hops around on one foot to defend it, putting her back against the wall to otherwise maintain her balance. Bleda transitions to a low double-leg effort where she eventually reaches down for Horth’s ankle, but Horth stands her up and knees her in the belly a few times. Bleda stays doggedly pursuant to the takedown, and Horth shuts her down and proceeds to bash her face in. The Canadian unleashes a fury of fists, blasting Bleda in the nose with a right hand. Bleda backpedals and takes another right on the button, sending her squirrely as she retreats as fast as she can. Horth chases her down and batters her with vicious right hands, clubbing the woman from the Czech Republic relentless until her balance starts to waver and Hatley’s trigger finger gets itchy.
He lets it play out as Horth keeps smacking Bleda around like Bleda owes her money, and Bleda is in a bad way as she falls to a knee. While she bounces back up under fire, Horth continues hurling her fiery fists until Hatley sees that Bleda is done and intervenes.
What a heck of a way to start the fight card, with a thrilling performance by the Canadian who earns her first finish since 2021.

Cody Saftic Expert Confident picked Dec 10, 2025 (3 days before fight)
Tereza Bledá

Cody picks Bledá, citing her youth and physical strength. He thinks her clinch work and volume will outwork Horth, who struggles against strong grapplers. He expects a decision win.

"I got Tereza Bleda to hopefully have be a reinvigorated improved version of herself."
CO
Connor Ruebusch Expert Confident picked Dec 12, 2025 (1 day before fight)
Jamey-Lyn Horth

Connor agrees with Horth, noting that Bledá is only 24 and has potential but is at the wrong weight class. He points out that Horth is a mean clinch fighter with a strong top game, while Bledá has no striking or wrestling. He believes Horth's skills will outweigh Bledá's physicality.

"I'll take horse too. Blada is a hold you down and hope that that is the fight. Horth has an actual stuff she does."

Lucrative James Expert Confident picked Dec 7, 2025 (6 days before fight)
Tereza Bledá

Lucrative James picks Tereza Bledá confidently, citing her superior strength, athleticism, and relentless grappling. He notes Jamey-Lyn Horth's takedown defense issues and believes Bledá will dominate on the ground. He acknowledges Bledá's long layoff but expects improvements. He projects Bledá as a -200 favorite.

"I'm going to say that Theresa Blader comes out here and gets the win fairly confidently."
PA
Paul Shaughnessy Expert Confident picked Dec 10, 2025 (3 days before fight)
Tereza Bledá

Paul also picks Bledá, citing her youth and potential. He thinks Horth's muscular style is not enough against a strong grappler like Bledá, and expects Bledá to control the clinch and win a decision.

"I'm fading Canada again here."
ZA
Zane Simon Expert Confident picked Dec 12, 2025 (1 day before fight)
Jamey-Lyn Horth

Zane picks Horth confidently, noting that Bledá is huge for flyweight but relies only on strength and physicality with no real technique. Horth is also big and has actual skills like a mean clinch and strong top game. He believes Bledá's holding game won't work against Horth's size and aggression.

Odds: Bledá opened -400, now -145; Horth opened +300, now +125. Zane thinks the line should be even or Horth favored.
"I'm gonna take horth. Blada is a hold you down and hope that that is the fight. Horth has an actual stuff she does."

Vanessa Demopoulos vs. Jamey-Lyn Horth
BETTING PREVIEW | SCOUTING REPORT | ODDS: Horth (-520), Demopoulos (+390)

Round 1
Atlanta! The capital of Georgia! The City in a Forest, The A, The Gate City, Hollywood of the South, ATL, Hotlanta, A City Among the Hills, Dogwood City…and many other names. The UFC has arrived to the city that holds over six million people in its metropolitan area, returning for the first time since Max Holloway and Dustin Poirier threw down for the second time all the way back in 2019. While no all-time banger is slated for this event’s lineup, with 13 bouts of varied significance, something is bound to bring the goods. UFC on ESPN 69 kicks off with a women’s flyweight contest pitting a Canadian in Horth (7-2, 2-2 UFC) struggling to find her way against a former strawweight in Demopoulos (11-7, 5-4 UFC) also trying to figure things out. Even with Horth sporting massive odds in her favor around -600, she is not even in top three heaviest betting favorites tonight. Here be squash matches. Referee Nate Mann takes the wheel for the first fight of the night, and the ladies touch gloves before his eyes to get started. Demopoulos, the shorter and smaller woman of the two by a wide margin, tries to get her offense going but is well out of range. Horth, meanwhile, easily slaps her opponent in the face with the first strike she throws: a front kick. Horth flicks out a low kick and avoids the return fire, with the former strawweight too distant. Horth goes to the well with another kick, and Demopoulos’s calf is already welting and reddening. Demopoulos lunges forward a few times, to no avail. Horth nearly wraps her head kick around the guard, forcing Demopoulos to mind her P’s and Q’s. Horth pitches a high kick to the other side, and the impact alone makes Demopoulos have to take a step back. Horth uses her long legs to do work, and she pins a body kick and follows it with a front kick to the midsection. Demopoulos’s responses rebound off the guard or come up short, so she engages in a clinch. The two jockey for position as soon as they find their way tied up, turning one another about, and Horth clocks Demopoulos with a right hand. Horth walks her foe down, landing with impunity, and turning the older woman’s face a brilliant shade of red. Horth picks away with jabs, stepping in with a kick to the body and giving Demopoulos all she can handle. Horth splits the guard with a one-two, and she again finds her target with a front kick. A trickle of blood appears on the side of Demopoulos’ nose, and Horth sees it and kicks at it. The front kick is one of the Canadian’s best weapons, freezing Demopoulos with one and then stinging her with a one-two. Demopoulos whiffs when trying to pay her back, and she looks for a takedown or something to get hold of her steamrolling opponent. Horth shucks it off and starts blasting the former dancer, allowing Demopoulos to try to get hold of her so she can toss Demopoulos to the mat. Horth lands in an awkward position as Demopoulos tries to reverse somersault, and the horn sounds.

Round 2
The ladies touch ‘em up to get going in the second round, and Demopoulos tries to take advantage of the close proximity but ends up missing on a few punches. Horth steps back and pops her with a right hook. Demopoulos chambers and fires a single kick, only to get her jaw jacked with a hook combination. Horth pounds the midsection with a liver kick, and she chains a front kick and two right hooks behind it. When the Canadian attacks another kick, Demopoulos grabs her and tries to tie her up. Demopoulos’ cheek starts leaking crimson fluid, with Horth’s strikes having a visible effect while Demopoulos might not have connected with 10 significant strikes over six and a half minutes in. On the break, Horth drills her opponent with a left hand that spins Demopoulos all the way around. Demopoulos recovers and loops a right hand back at her, but her six-plus inch reach deficiency is her worst enemy. Horth watches Demopoulos soar past her with strikes, chipping at her with jabs and punishing her with a right hand when Demopoulos charges her. Demopoulos gets off first and shoots for a double-leg takedown, but the taller woman turns her about and drills her in the jaw with a knee. The size discrepancy is jarring, as Horth can reach her at will with kicks while even Demopoulos’ kicks do not always get there. An axe kick from Demopoulos is nowhere near the mark, but she gets aggravated and wings a right hand that surprises Horth. The Canadian has to shake it off, and she marches forward and drives a kick to the ribcage. Demopoulos is tough as nails, but Horth is connecting constantly and effectively. When they clinch, Horth breaks it out of thanks to a few knees. A home run right hand from Demopoulos misses by a mile, and she takes a punch to give one back but is seemingly out-powered as well. Horth chains a kick into two punches, and she ducks the right hook at the bell.

Round 3
Horth springs out of her corner behind her jab, allowing Demopoulos to come at her so she can do work. Demopoulos’ charges put her at risk to getting kicked in the stomach, and Horth does this twice—the second sends Demopoulos flying. Demopoulos stands up and nods that she got hit with a good one, and she tries to grab hold of Horth. The Canadian allows Demopoulos to sell out for a takedown so she can wind up on top, and she hops away and trips. Demopoulos gives chase, but Horth is upright before she gets grounded for real. The Factory X fighter sells out for a takedown, even giving up dominant position in hopes of taking the back, but Horth turns her about and reams her with an elbow. Horth sits comfortably in the full guard of her foe, listening to her corner’s instructions while pummeling “Lil Monster” with ground-and-pound. Any time Demopoulos tosses her legs up for a submission of some kind, Horth busts her in the chops. Horth elects to stand back up, and she sways back to partially dodge a one-two. Chants for “USA” in support of Demopoulos rain down, and she salutes the crowd and takes a knee square on the jaw when not paying attention. Horth potshots her from a safe distance, her body kick about as clutch at it can be. Demopoulos walks through a head kick to wind a big right hand, and her power strikes are one-and-done while Horth is much busier, accurate and stronger. Demopoulos sprints towards her foe for a level change, and she tries to pull guard but Horth walks away. Demopoulos comes out firing with a one-two when getting back to her feet, and she snaps Horth’s head to the side with a solid jab. The prodding jabs from Horth keep her safe from the worst of it, and Demopoulos tries to catch a body kick but ends up eating four punches instead. Horth’s body kick leads to a shot up top, and she springs away to avoid a looping punch. Demopoulos fakes a takedown to throw hands, and she even attempts an Imanari roll to get hold of the Canadian. They trade hands, with Horth landing the flusher of the two, until the final bell rings.

Jamey-Lyn Horth

Angelo picks Horth because of her size advantage and ability to defend takedowns against the cage. He believes her range, length, and striking will be too much for Demopoulos, who is stepping up on short notice.

If I'm wrong, and the odds are somehow close or plus money, I 100% will bet on Jamie here. ... the over two and a half.

Jamey-Lyn Horth

Big Brady picks Jamey-Lyn Horth due to her significant size and strength advantages, noting a 5-inch height and 6.5-7 inch reach advantage. He believes Horth will use her size to push Demopoulos against the cage and take her down, similar to how Allen Carr controlled Demopoulos. He acknowledges Demopoulos has been on the winning side of questionable decisions but expects Horth to win a boring decision. He is surprised Horth is a -475 favorite but agrees with the line.

"I think it's Jamian Horth and buy a boring I think it's going to be boring quite frank. I think she's going to push Vanessa Demopoulos against the cage for 15 minutes potentially take her down."

Horth's size, physicality, and strength are expected to overwhelm Demopoulos, who is coming up a weight class on short notice. Horth will pin Demopoulos against the cage, drag her to the ground, and grind out a decision win.

The MMA Guru Expert Confident picked Jun 13, 2025 (1 day before fight)
Jamey-Lyn Horth

The Guru picks Jamey-Lyn Horth based on her physicality advantage, noting she is 5'7" to Demopoulos's 5'2" with more reach. He criticizes Demopoulos's lack of technical skill, saying she 'has no idea what she's doing' and spent 13 minutes on bottom in her last fight. He expects Horth to outgrapple Demopoulos and win a 30-27 decision.

"I'm going to go with Jaime Lyn Hoth here. She actually looks like she like there was a moment in her Veronica Hardy fight where I was looking at Veronica Hardy and I was thinking okay Veronica Hardy is the more technical fighter here but Jam Lyn Horth has a physicality advantage over her."

AN
Angelo Bodetti Expert Confident picked Dec 8, 2024 (6 days before fight)
Miranda Maverick

Angelo picks Maverick because she can dictate the grappling and get the fight to the ground, exploiting Horth's poor takedown defense. He notes Maverick's pressure, strength, and takedowns, but acknowledges she is not a finisher. He expects the fight to go to decision and suggests the over 2.5 rounds might be a better bet if the odds are close to the moneyline.

Fight goes to decision; considering over 2.5 rounds if odds are favorable.
"Miranda moves forward I think she pressures Jamie and I think she gets this fight to the ground... Miranda is the pick and this fight will go to a decision."

Miranda Maverick

Cody picks Miranda Maverick, citing her wrestling advantage and Horth's inability to stop takedowns. He notes that Horth is slow and flat-footed, and Maverick's physicality should secure takedowns and control. Cody warns that the line is high but sees Maverick as a safe play.

CO
Connor Ruebusch Expert Confident picked Dec 13, 2024 (1 day before fight)
Miranda Maverick

Connor agrees with Zane, noting that Maverick is a much better athlete and has been improving her game. He points out that Horth is a slow, uncoordinated fighter who lacks the size and seasoning of Jasmine Jasudavicius, who beat Maverick. As long as Maverick uses her wrestling and doesn't get into unnecessary striking exchanges, she should win easily.

"Maverick really could have and should have beat just suit of easiest. She is a much better athlete."

The MMA Guru Expert Confident picked Dec 11, 2024 (3 days before fight)
Miranda Maverick

The MMA Guru picks Miranda Maverick without much elaboration, stating she is well-trained with talent in grappling and striking. He dismisses Jamey-Lyn Horth's recent split decision win over Iana Petrovic, calling Petrovic 'absolute garbage', and notes that Horth's close fight with Veronica Hardy doesn't impress him. He concludes that Maverick is simply a more talented fighter.

"Miranda Maverick is well trained she's got some level of talent in her grappling and striking I don't need to explain myself"
ZA
Zane Simon Expert Confident picked Dec 13, 2024 (1 day before fight)
Miranda Maverick

Zane picks Maverick confidently, noting that she is a much better athlete than Horth, faster and stronger. He points out that Maverick has been learning to connect her striking to her wrestling and showed better control in recent fights. Horth is slow, uncoordinated, and barely beat Petrovich, getting taken down at will. As long as Maverick doesn't trip over her own feet, she should win.

Maverick opened at -322, now -546; Horth opened at -270, now +419. Zane notes that Maverick is a big favorite, which is unusual for her.
"It is really on maverick to just not trip over her own feet. I kind of like it for that as a matchup to be honest."

Jamey-Lyn Horth vs. Ivana Petrovic
BETTING PREVIEW | SCOUTING REPORT | ODDS: Horth (-205), Petrovic (+170)

Round 1
In July 2019, the promotion last posted up at the Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, with a pay-per-view offering that put a featherweight belt on the line. At night’s end, Max Holloway defended his throne against Frankie Edgar, with the co-headliner seeing Cris Cyborg punish Felicia Spencer. Five and change years later, the UFC comes back to the same building, with a fight card that is far less stacked but still ram-packed with Canadian talent. The night opens with Canadian faithful getting a home country woman in Horth (6-1-1, 1-1 UFC) setting foot in the cage. She battles Norway’s Petrovic (7-1, 1-1 UFC), in a contest between who ladies who each sport a single decision win on their respective ledgers. Referee Blake Grice is on call for the first assignment of the night, and he checks the fight in as the flyweights touch gloves. Petrovic immediately gets behind her jab, and she flicks up a head kick. Horth swipes out with two right hands, but comes up short and is warned for outstretched fingers. Petrovic returns to the center of the cage, catching a body kick and looking for a counter. Petrovic walks square into an overhand right, and she does not like it. Rather than slugging it out, Petrovic meanders forward into a clinch, where she jams Horth up and presses her across the cage to the wall. Clapping and chants for “Let’s go Jamey” come down in support of the local lady, but she is unable to channel their energy to get out of the clinch. Petrovic continues grinding despite the warning for Grice to do something, and when she gets a little too aggressive with a level change, Petrovic is spun around. When Horth starts pressing, she is countered and dumped on her head with a head-and-arm throw. Horth tugs her toes on the fence in hopes of escaping bottom position, while Petrovic lords over her and smacks her occasionally with hammerfists and clubbing strikes. Horth pushes her foe off and fights back to her feet, and she gloms onto Petrovic to bop her in the noggin a few times. Horth threatens with her own trip takedown, and she succeeds in sneaking a hook around when taking the back. Horth snatches hold of a rear-naked choke without both hooks in, and the submission is on the face and Petrovic is standing up trying to wriggle her off the back. Horth loses her grip and falls to her back, where Petrovic sits on top elbowing her in the face. Petrovic stops Horth’s scrambles until the bell sounds.

Round 2
The ladies clap hands to start the second stanza, and Petrovic shifts early to the middle of the cage and paws out a side kick. Petrovic reaches out with a left hook that is parried, and she smacks the front leg with a kick. Horth responds with a body kick, and Petrovic grabs it and chucks Horth to the ground like a side of Canadian bacon. When Petrovic assumes top position, Horth throws her legs up and sets up an armbar. Petrovic stacks her opponent up to keep the weight pressed down and safe herself from getting tapped, and Horth smacks her in the gut a few times with awkward hammerfists when the submission leverage dissipates. Petrovic walks from one side to the other, all while maintaining pressure, and she drops elbows down to further irritate the Canadian. Petrovic rests her knees on Horth’s forehead while keeping all the pressure she can muster on top of Horth. Petrovic finally slides her arm out of danger, standing up briefly to lower herself down. Horth scrambles at the right moment, and the ensuing movement results in a brief wardrobe malfunction for Petrovic, who looks to Grice for relief. Grice tells them to fight on, and she gets spun around and pushed to the wall. Horth breaks out of it and kicks her opponent in the ribs, and Petrovic does not make her pay for the naked kick. Petrovic sets up a left hand down the middle, and Horth retaliates with a flurry of punches that redden the Norwegian woman’s nose up. They trade straight strikes one after the other, seeing openings and lowering their defenses to throw more. Petrovic whips a kick to the side and then one up high, and they go after body strikes. Petrovic shoots for a takedown when Horth overswings, and Horth’s sprawl defends her from getting put on her back. Horth jumps for a guillotine, but time expires before anything comes of it.

Round 3
One final glove touch is shared between the two, and fists are soon to fly after. Petrovic reintroduces herself with a salvo of punches, catching Horth unaware and outdoing her with volume. Horth strides forward intent on forcing a clinch, and she is soon spun around with her back pushed to the wire. As Petrovic imposes her will, Horth explodes out of the tie-up and starts throwing hands. Petrovic backs off, dodging one series of punches but eating the second. Petrovic lands, Horth gives her one back to think about, and Petrovic comes back at her. A Horth high kick glances off the shoulder, and she sets up another with a pair of punches. Petrovic spins with a back fist, and Horth sees it coming and clinches her. With her back against the wall, Petrovic tries to counter her foe with another head-and-arm throw, but Horth sees it coming and shifts. Petrovic tries for another on the other side, and Horth leans against the fencing to not go down. Horth uses a turning Petrovic to toss her to the ground, and she jumps onto Petrovic’s back to set up a submission. Petrovic lowers herself down and shimmies her way out of danger, where she gains top position as Horth closes her guard. Petrovic drops down hammerfists until Horth hits a quick sweep, putting Petrovic on her seat. Both women spring back to their feet and punches their way into a clinch. Horth walks her foe down and kicks her in the side, and Petrovic responds with one of her own. Horth bites down on her mouthpiece and starts slugging it out, and Petrovic retreats and tries to counter but is beaten to the punch a few times. Petrovic fails on a takedown and backs away just enough to dodge a head kick. Horth shoots for a single-leg takedown, and Petrovic turns her about to land on top. Petrovic drops down ground-and-pound until the final horn, and it could be a close one.

Angelo picks Jamey-Lyn Horth but with low confidence, calling the odds 'insane' as Horth is a 2-to-1 favorite after a year away and a loss. He notes Horth is big and strong, a solid striker with good fight IQ, but was dropped multiple times in her last fight. He thinks Ivana Petrović could win if she closes distance and shoots takedowns, but doubts she will because Horth may be too strong to drag down. He finds the odds baffling and won't bet.

Veronica Hardy

Lucrative James picks Veronica Hardy, citing her improved striking and speed advantage. He notes that while Jamey-Lyn Horth is a decent fighter with good wins, Hardy's in-and-out movement and early-round success should carry her. He acknowledges that Horth may grow into the fight later, but believes Hardy will have enough gas to win the early rounds and secure the victory.

"overall I think hard's gonna win the fight I feel like she's going to have enough gas to last and she's probably going to win the early round so I'm going to give her the edge for that reason"

MMA Lock of the Night Expert Confident picked Nov 30, 2023 (2 days before fight)
Veronica Hardy

Hardy's lateral footwork, speed, and striking from distance, combined with improved grappling from training with Dan Hardy, should allow her to exploit Horth's weaknesses on the ground. Horth is undefeated but has shown vulnerability when put in bad positions. Hardy's fight IQ and cardio will be key to wearing Horth down over three rounds. The plus 155 underdog price is seen as a good value spot.
