Angelo picks Darrius Flowers primarily because Lando Vannata hasn't fought in three years and was on a losing streak before the layoff. He acknowledges that no one can intelligently break down this fight due to the unknowns, but Flowers has fought recently and will move forward and swing. Angelo is not confident and advises against betting on this fight.
Big Brady picks Lando Vannata despite his long layoff and losing streak. He criticizes Flowers as one of the worst fighters, with many KO and submission losses. He expects Vannata to win by second-round submission, noting Flowers has no chin and poor grappling.
Cody hesitantly picks Vannata, acknowledging his superior skills but concerns about a three-year layoff and injuries. He suggests waiting for weigh-ins and considers a submission prop.
Connor also picks Vannata, noting that Flowers fights like a Vegas strip impersonation of Rampage Jackson with no footwork and is stiff and awkward. He points out that Flowers got undressed by Evan Elder and doesn't seem to like fighting. Vannata, despite his own issues, should win easily.
James picks Lando Vannata, calling it a weird fight. He notes Vannata's superior striking and level of competition, but is unsure due to both fighters' inactivity. He predicts a spinning wheel kick knockout in round two when Flowers gasses. He expresses confusion about the matchup and low confidence.
The host expects Vannata to win, likely by finish in round 2 or 3, as Flowers has poor cardio and a tendency to fade. He notes Vannata's unorthodox striking and BJJ black belt, while Flowers gasses out and has been submitted before. He advises caution due to Vannata's three-year layoff but still picks him.
Paul leans towards Vannata, noting Flowers' poor record and takedown defense. He expects Vannata to win if he uses wrestling, but is cautious due to the layoff.
The MMA Guru picks Lando Vannata, recalling his past highlights like the wheel kick KO of John Makdessi. He believes Vannata's rangy striking and teeps will be effective against Darrius Flowers, who has been easily handled by Michael Johnson and Jake Matthews. He predicts a decision win.
Zane picks Vannata confidently despite his flaws, because Flowers is even worse. He describes Flowers as a Rampage Jackson impersonator with no footwork, stiff and awkward, who got undressed by Evan Elder. Vannata, though inconsistent and prone to bad habits, is still good enough to beat a low-level opponent like Flowers.

Angelo picks Daniel Zellhuber despite his gun-shy UFC debut, trusting his pre-UFC fights and 88% takedown defense. He notes Zellhuber's length, power, and relentless striking pace when he's on. He expects a close, fast-paced fight but believes Zellhuber's talent will prevail over Lando's well-roundedness.
Big Brady picks Daniel Zellhuber to win by decision, giving him one more chance after a poor debut. He notes Zellhuber's size and reach advantages, good takedown defense, and training at Extreme Couture. He is concerned about Zellhuber's previous performance but believes it was a one-off. He expects Zellhuber to bounce back and outpoint Vannata.
Cody is unimpressed by Zellhuber's poor UFC debut and thinks Vannata's unorthodox style and grappling could cause problems. He notes Vannata is inconsistent but has the experience advantage. He picks Vannata as a dog.
Connor agrees, noting that Vannata's losses are to top fighters and that Zellhuber's step up on the contender series was a difficult decision. He believes Vannata's experience and ability to pour in strikes on openings will be key.
Zellhuber's range and technical striking should pick apart Vannata, who struggles against crisp strikers. Vannata's unorthodox style can be countered by Zellhuber's length and clean shots. Zellhuber's takedown defense should be sufficient. Expect a knockout as Vannata has been clipped before. Zellhuber is a live underdog despite his last loss.
Paul echoes Cody, noting Zellhuber's terrible performance against Trey Ogden. He thinks Vannata's unorthodox striking and scrambling will overwhelm the inexperienced Zellhuber. He takes the plus money.
The MMA Guru picks Lando Vannata as a plus-money underdog, citing his experience, tricky striking, and underrated grappling. He believes Vannata can outstrike Zellhuber, who had a lackluster UFC debut. He notes Zellhuber's youth and reach but thinks Vannata's veteran savvy and motivation will secure the win.
Zane picks Vannata because he has been doing this much longer than Zellhuber, who still looks like he's learning. He notes that Vannata's experience against top fighters gives him an edge, and that Zellhuber's game lacks fundamental connectivity. He also mentions that Vannata has been wrestling lately.

A featherweight scrap expected by some to be the frontrunner for “Fight of the Night” will continue the main card, when Vannata (12-5-2, 4-5-2 UFC) takes on the appropriately nicknamed “Air” Jourdain (12-4-1, 3-3-1 UFC) for the latter’s high-flying prowess. This could get wild, and referee Keith Peterson will have to be on his A-game here at sweeping away nonsense. The gloves get touched ahead of this hopefully exciting matchup, and Jourdain comes out aggressively. When he reaches out a little too far, Vannata scoops him off the mat and slams him down. Jourdain kicks him off and looks to scramble, but Vannata smoothly follows him and even takes his back as Jourdain moves. A couple punches land to the back of the head, and Jourdain explodes back to his feet. When upright again, the Canadian is met with a body kick and a crisp uppercut from “Groovy,” who styles on him with several quick, effective blows. Vannata kicks the body and steps forward with a right hand, only to be met with a piston-like left hand that knocks Vannata clean off his feet. Jourdain snatches hold of a guillotine when jumping on top, and Vannata pulls his neck out and tries to take Jourdain down.
In doing so, Vannata falls into another guillotine choke that Jourdain holds with only one arm. “Air” Jourdain secures the grip, and he sits up to half guard with his hands clasped crushingly tight. Vannata, with his head torqued at a horrible angle, signals that he is ok by putting an arm up in the air, only to then tap out with his other hand, as his head changes to a brilliant shade of vermillion from the application of the choke.
When Peterson steps in, Vannata has to pull his shorts up, because Jourdain apparently choked them off too. That’s two powerful Canadians in a row locking up guillotine chokes just after the midpoint of the round, with each just as impressive as the other.
The Official Result
Charles Jourdain def. Lando Vannata R1 2:32 via Submission (Guillotine Choke)
Angelo has a very slight lean to Lando Vannata, citing his grappling threat and size at 145. He notes Vannata has taken down Bobby Green five times across two fights. He says Jourdain's volume could be the difference if it stays standing, but Vannata's pressure and strength could be an issue. He calls Jourdain a gamer, making it hard to pick against him.
Big Brady picks Charles Jourdain to win a close decision, citing his youth and improvements shown in his last fight against Andre Ewell. He thinks Jourdain has the harder shots and slightly better striking, while Vannata may mix in takedowns but won't control Jourdain. He calls it a coin flip but leans Jourdain.
Cody picks Vannata as an underdog, citing his improved performance at 145 against Mike Grundy. He notes Vannata's wrestling background and ability to exploit Jourdain's takedown defense. He believes Vannata can mix takedowns and striking, and that Jourdain's wild style leaves openings.
The host leans towards Lando Vannata but has no bet on this fight. He thinks the fight is likely to go the distance, noting that Vannata has never been KO'd (only sub loss to Ferguson). He includes over 2.5 rounds in his totals parlay.
Paul agrees with Cody, highlighting Vannata's wrestling and the path to victory via takedowns. He notes Jourdain's poor takedown defense and Vannata's D1 wrestling background. He thinks Vannata can control the fight and potentially submit Jourdain.
The MMA Guru picks Charles Jourdain, citing his cardio advantage and durability. He notes Vannata slows down in high-paced fights and lacks power at featherweight. He predicts Jourdain will go to the body and take over in the later rounds, finishing by third-round TKO. He mentions Jourdain's great chin and Vannata's headhunting style. He expects a war with both getting rocked, but Jourdain's conditioning will be the difference.

Grundy is a grappler who can get takedowns; he took down Movsar Evloev six times. Vannata has 58% takedown defense and has been taken down by lesser wrestlers. Grundy's cardio is a concern, but Vannata also slows down. I think Grundy grinds out a decision, but I want to see Vannata's weight cut first.
Cody picks Grundy, emphasizing that Vannata's wrestling defense is poor and Grundy will take him down repeatedly. He notes that Vannata's game plans are questionable and he often fades in later rounds. Cody believes Grundy's wrestling will be the difference, though he acknowledges Vannata could pull off a flashy finish.
Daniel Levi picks Mike Grundy, citing his wrestling pressure and takedowns. He notes that Vannata tends to slow down in fights and has been taken down repeatedly. Levi thinks Grundy's pace and grappling will be too much for Vannata, and predicts a decision win for Grundy. He acknowledges Vannata's striking threat but believes Grundy can neutralize it.
The host picks Grundy, believing his wrestling will be the difference maker. He notes Grundy has cardio issues but thinks Vannata is a far cry from his debut and that Grundy's grappling-heavy style should secure rounds. He predicts a decision win but says he can't trust Grundy even at close odds.
Paul picks Grundy, citing his wrestling advantage. He notes that Vannata has been taken down repeatedly in recent fights and his takedown defense is poor. Paul believes Grundy will control the fight with takedowns and top control, though he is not very confident.
The MMA Guru picks Lando Vannata to win by TKO in the first round. He is surprised that most people are picking Mike Grundy, as he believes Grundy hasn't lived up to expectations and lost to Movsar Evloev. He thinks Vannata's takedown defense and scrambles will keep the fight standing, where Vannata's striking advantage will lead to a first-round finish.

Big Brady picks Lando Vannata to win by second-round knockout. He recalls their first fight where Vannata nearly finished Green and argues that Vannata has improved his composure and technique. He criticizes Bobby Green's poor fight IQ and tendency to keep his hands down, which he believes will lead to a knockout. He mentions he missed getting Vannata at pick'em odds and is considering a bet at -150.
Daniel picks Bobby Green, noting his heart and ability to take over in later rounds. He points out that Lando fades after the first round and that Green went toe-to-toe with Clay Guida. He expects Green to land crisper shots in rounds 2 and 3 and win a decision.
The host picks Vannata, expecting him to use his groovy style with hands down and movement to outpoint Green. He notes that Green is a low-output, one-and-done puncher and that Vannata's confidence from the Yancy Medeiros fight will carry over. He also mentions the first fight ended in a draw due to an illegal knee, but believes Vannata will win a clear decision this time.
The host picks Lando Vannata to win by second-round TKO. He was not impressed with Bobby Green's performance against Clay Guida and believes Vannata has improved his cardio and pacing since their first fight. He thinks Vannata's movement and output will be too much for Green, and that Vannata will avoid brawling and instead outpoint or finish Green.

Daniel Levi picks Yancy Medeiros to win by unanimous decision or third-round submission. He believes Vannata is a lost cause with a fragile chin and poor fight IQ, while Medeiros has the Hawaiian spirit and will take over after the first round. He notes Vannata's tendency to gas at the 7-minute mark and not check kicks.
