Angelo loves Azat Maksum, calling him one of the most talented new signings. He believes Maksum can touch Nam up on the feet and out-grapple him if needed. He notes Nam's age (39), recent knockout loss, and questionable chin. He says outside of a wild overhand, Nam won't win. He plans to parlay Maksum even at minus 300.
Big Brady picks Azat Maksum, believing he has multiple paths to victory. He notes Maksum is a good wrestler and grappler with power on the feet, while Tyson Nam relies heavily on knockout power and has low volume. He expects Maksum to take Nam down, breaking his 100% takedown defense, and likely find a submission in the second round. However, he refuses to bet at -415 for a debuting flyweight.
Cody picks Maksum, citing his youth, speed, volume, and wrestling. He notes Nam is 40, has low volume, and looked shot in his last fight. He acknowledges Nam's power and takedown defense but thinks Maksum's volume and wrestling will be too much. He considers a Nam by knockout prop at +650 as a long-shot but goes with Maksum.
The host is high on Maksum, calling him a beast with a 16-0 record, patient striking, and relentless takedown chains. He expects Maksum to use in-and-out pressure, kicks from distance, and counters before taking the fight to the ground and finishing Nam via TKO. He notes Nam's age (nearly 40) and recent first finish in 10 years as factors favoring Maksum.
Paul picks Maksum, citing his solid all-around skills, quick hands, and light footwork. He thinks Maksum can win at any range and has enough wrestling. He notes Nam is older and has low volume, but has knockout power. He is unexcited by the -420 price but understands why Maksum is favored.
The MMA Guru picks Azat Maksum over Tyson Nam, highlighting Maksum's undefeated record, regional dominance, and ability to rise to tough challenges. He notes Nam's recent KO loss to Bruno Silva and quick turnaround, questioning his durability. He predicts Maksum wins by KO or submission in the first round.

Round 1
Moving right along, flyweights take center stage as two of the heavier handed competitors in the division meet. Fresh off a first-round knockout last August, Nam (21-12-1, 3-3 UFC) at 39 years of age looks to prove he still has some life left, and he steps into the cage against Brazilian bulldog Silva (12-5-2, 1 NC; 2-2, 1 NC UFC). Aware that this one could end in a moment’s notice, referee Chris Tognoni is prepped and ready for what happens next. There is no thought of offering a glove touch, and instead the two want to engage. Silva introduces himself with a whipping leg kick, and Nam smiles at him as he walks him down. Nam hand-fights with his left hand outstretched, and he follows a pawing left with a straight right. Silva circles away as Nam gives chase, with Nam lining up his right hand. Silva darts forward with two hooks, doing enough to make Nam smiles again. The Brazilian fires off another nasty low kick, and his subsequent combination flusters Nam. Silva spins with a back fist that collides perfectly off the side of Nam’s head, and the elder statesman simply grins at him. Tognoni warns Nam for outstretched fingers, and Silva boots his foe in the body. Nam continues to walk Silva down, and they trade low kick for low kick. Silva slides a right hand around the guard, and Nam practically ignores it as he kicks the inside thigh in response. Silva shoots in suddenly for a takedown, and Nam tosses it aside and ducks a looping punch. When Silva aims a kick to the ribcage, Nam catches him with an overhand right. Silva backs off as the jabs from Nam aim at his face, and he connects with a clean right hand while backing away. Nam bears down on him with a short salvo of punches, and Silva is mostly out of harm’s way in time. Silva goes for a takedown to keep Nam honest when Nam backs him against the wall, but Nam keeps his forward momentum when there is nothing to the entry. Nam blocks a spinning back fist as he marches onward, and he eats a body kick when trying to throw hands. Nam gets off his own body kick and scores a few punches to follow before the close round ends.

Round 2
The bantamweights meet in the middle, but it is Silva that takes a backward step when Nam comes at him faster. Nam pushes out jab after inaccurate jab, and Silva times a spectacular front kick up the middle that smashes into Nam’s jaw and sends in crashing to the canvas. Silva leaps down on top in the blink of an eye into Nam’s guard, and he pummels a dazed Nam with ground strikes.
As Nam looks to escape and get his bearings, Silva slithers around to take the back as Nam is standing up. “Bulldog” snatches up a rear-naked choke without even getting a hook in, and Nam falls to the mat as Silva secures the back take. Silva gets his hooks in, and he crushes with his grip while Nam tries and fails to fight the hands and break the grip. As he is attempting to free himself from the submission, Nam goes out,
and Tognoni recognizes this and calls a halt to the match immediately. This is a big win for Silva, who may find himself with a number next to his name next week as he becomes the first man to submit the well-traveled Nam.
The Official Result
Bruno Silva def. Tyson Nam R2 1:23 via Technical Submission (Rear-Naked Choke)
Angelo leans toward Bruno Silva because he has more ways to win, being well-rounded with power, wrestling, and submissions. He acknowledges Tyson Nam's one-punch knockout power but prefers the versatility. He suggests the best bet might be Tyson Nam inside the distance (decision no action) due to Nam's toughness and Silva's potential rust from a two-year layoff.
Big Brady picks Bruno Silva because he believes Silva will be the more active striker and has a clear grappling advantage. He notes that Tyson Nam relies on landing a big shot and doesn't grapple, and at 39 years old it's hard to favor him. Brady expects Silva to mix in takedowns and win by decision, as Nam's 100% takedown defense hasn't been tested by grapplers.
Cody picks Silva but is hesitant due to the two-year layoff. He acknowledges Silva's momentum before the layoff and his training, but notes ring rust concerns. He prefers a prop on Nam by KO if the price is right.
Connor picks Nam, favoring his pressure and counter-striking style. He notes that Nam is comfortable in the pocket and accurate with his right hand, while Silva tends to become frantic under pressure and may give Nam the openings he wants. He acknowledges Silva's toughness and tricky entries but thinks Nam's experience and timing will prevail.
I think Silva's improvements in combination striking and his ability to take the fight to the ground will be key. He can avoid Nam's power by dragging him to the mat and controlling the fight there. Nam's decision-making is poor when he can't knock opponents out. Silva should win by decision, but be cautious of Nam's knockout power.
Paul picks Silva, noting his improvements and durability. He thinks Silva's wrestling and chin will be too much for Nam, who is a one-dimensional banger. He likes the -200 price relative to other favorites on the card.
The MMA Guru picks Bruno Silva over Tyson Nam, despite Nam being the popular pick. He believes Silva is technical and has improved his boxing, making him dangerous. He notes Nam is 39 and questions his ability to get another KO win. The Guru predicts Silva will win by TKO finish.
Zane picks Silva, believing his durability and power will be the difference. He notes that Silva is very hard to knock out and will create exchanges, while Nam's low output could be a problem if Silva pressures him. He thinks Silva will do a little more over three rounds, but acknowledges it's a close fight.

Angelo picks Ode' Osbourne, citing his power, range, and finishing ability at 125 pounds. He notes Tyson Nam is almost 40, has been inactive, and relies too much on power. Angelo has a moneyline bet on Osbourne at -220 and recommends it to premium members.
Big Brady picks Ode' Osbourne to win by decision. He notes that Tyson Nam is 38 years old, almost 39, and has been inactive for a year and a half. Nam is a heavy hitter but throws low volume (3.64 strikes per minute) and has poor accuracy. Osbourne is more active, has power, and good submission defense. Brady expects Osbourne to outwork Nam and win a decision.
Cody picks Osbourne by decision, criticizing Nam's low volume and reliance on power. He notes Nam hasn't fought in two years and is 38. Cody believes Osbourne's reach and speed will allow him to pick Nam apart, and Nam won't land a knockout shot.
Daniel Levi picks Ode' Osbourne, citing his length, unorthodox striking, and improved game. He notes that Tyson Nam is knockout-dependent with low volume, and while Nam has power, Osbourne should win a decision unless he gets caught. Levi expects Osbourne to get his hand raised.
The host picks Nam as the best underdog he didn't bet straight up. He thinks Nam's power could clip Osbourne late, especially in the third round when Osbourne slows down. He notes Nam is 38 but power is the last thing to go. He only put a small bet on Nam round three at +2200, indicating low confidence in the moneyline.
Paul picks Osbourne by decision at +240. He notes Nam is 38 and slow, while Osbourne is faster with a reach advantage. Paul thinks Osbourne will use his jab and volume to outpoint Nam, who is reluctant to let his hands go. He also likes Osbourne over 55.5 significant strikes on PrizePicks.
The host picks Ode' Osbourne by first-round KO, calling it a logical bet. He notes Osbourne's youth and physicality advantages over the 38-year-old Tyson Nam, including a four-inch reach advantage. He compares their similar wins over common opponents and believes Osbourne's improvements will be decisive.

The final men’s flyweight tilt on the card comes with top-10 implications when “Danger” Schnell (14-5, 4-3 UFC) puts his higher position in danger against heavy-handed Hawaiian Nam (20-11-1, 2-2 UFC). Holding on tight will be referee Herb Dean, who will try not to get caught up in a flurry of feet and fists. There is no glove touch, as it’s time to strike. Nam aims his right hand, and Schnell kicks the body and topples over. Nam does not have any interest in playing the ground game, so he allows Schnell to stand up and land a trio of punches. Schnell strings together a few punches while Nam just stares at him, slapping away punches without concern and stomping the floor to draw a reaction. Schnell gets in a solid right hand when he absorbs a leg kick, and he lets loose another right hook as Nam kicks at him once more. Schnell bites down on his mouthpiece to sling a right hand, and he pops Nam a few times with strikes. Nam’s right hand is ready and rearing to throw, but Schnell is quick on the action and lands a few shots and escapes. Nam reaches out with a right hand and throws a leg kick, and when Schnell replies to him with punches, Nam smiles. Schnell takes a quick combination on the chin, and he slams his shin on Nam’s knee. The Hawaiian stalks his man down and sneaks up a left uppercut, but Schnell pays it no mind as he gets off a front kick up the middle. Schnell keeps away with a few jabs, and one jab is able to disrupt the big right hand from the headhunting Nam. Nam lands a pair of punches to the body, and Schnell backs off and flicks out a few more jabs. Schnell sticks and moves while Nam sits down on his right hand, and he is out of the way when Nam slings it. Schnell sees the right hand coming as he slips it, keeping punches going and tagging Nam. Nam absorbs the blows and throws back, but he appears surprised at the latest dangerous barrage from “Danger.” Nam races forward only to eat a few short punches, and Schnell’s combinations are doing work and damage on Nam’s face. A cut has opened around Nam’s eye, and he paws at it when the round ends.

Round 2
Schnell picks up where he left off with fast hands as he peppers Nam with strikes. Nam sits on a few punches, and Schnell backpedals while Nam rushes towards him. Schnell puts a three-piece on Nam before the Hawaiian can react, and he slips a few long punches from Nam. Schnell lands a jab, but Nam cracks him with a pair of big hooks that land flush. Schnell appears cautious as he has tasted Nam’s power, and a right hand dislodges Schnell’s mouthpiece. Nam is bearing down on his opponent, hunting his foe and slamming his right hand into Schnell’s cheek. Schnell wears it well but his pace and volume has diminished as he took some of those heavy shots, so Nam keeps it rolling by putting two punches together. Nam flicks out a jab a few times, and a leg kick of his disrupts the return fire from Schnell. The Hawaiian grins as he walks down his foe, but Schnell has started to get his jabs working again. Nam wings a couple of huge punches, and Schnell beats him to the punch but still eats a left hook. Five crisp punches land from Schnell, and Nam grins and throws back his own combination that is largely blocked. A naked body kick from Schnell allows Nam to land with a right hand over the top, but he absorbs it and takes a step back. Twin jabs from Schnell temporarily pause Nam’s rush forward, but the Hawaiian is quick to stalk his man down again and land blows. Three punches of Schnell lead to four from Nam, who is finding his mark more often this round. He swings a big right hand that narrowly misses the target, but one that comes after does not miss. The two flyweights trade to end the round.

Round 3
Nam comes out aggressively, walking down his foe and throw leather. Schnell stays on the outside with crisp, straighter shots, and he ducks when Nam fires a big right hand that pulls him off-balance. Schnell puts three punches on Nam’s mug while Nam is coming at him, but Nam lands with his own shots in response. As Nam presses the action, Schnell gets off a check knee, and the Hawaiian is unconcerned as he clicks a left hand off the jaw. Nam blocks a one-two and absorbs a kick, leading Schnell to kick low as he backs away. A big right hand from Nam slides off the shoulder, and Schnell has his guard up when Nam comes at him with a fire and fury. Both men jab the other repeatedly, and Nam is beaming as he walks Schnell down but takes some shots. Schnell lands four before Nam can reach him, but Nam’s chin is study as he walks through them and gets off his own punch combo. An energized Nam walks Schnell down and lands heavy punches, all while Schnell greets him on the way in. Two big hooks shake up Schnell for a moment, but “Danger” gathers himself and jabs several times to back Nam off. Nam throws a two-punch combination so hard he almost falls over, and Schnell avoids the damage and gets off a few jabs here and there. Nam clubs him with a left hand, and he pushes in before clocking Schnell with a left hook. They trade it out to the bell, and this exciting kickboxing match is over. The scorecards could be very interesting in this 125-pound affair.

The Official Result
Matt Schnell def. Tyson Nam via Split Decision (28-29, 29-28, 29-28)
Big Brady believes Tyson Nam's power will be the difference. He notes that Matt Schnell is chinny and brawls with his chin up, which plays into Nam's hands. He predicts a knockout win for Nam, saying Schnell will get his fourth knockout loss. He suggests betting Nam inside the distance, as he doesn't see Nam winning a decision.
The host picks Matt Schnell because of his crisp boxing, combinations, and higher output compared to Tyson Nam's head-hunting style. He notes Schnell's reach advantage and improved jiu-jitsu, but is concerned about his chin and recent fight pullouts. He thinks Schnell can win a decision or even submit Nam, but is not fully confident.
The MMA Guru picks Tyson Nam to win by first-round KO. He notes Nam's recent two KO wins (over Jerome Rivera and Zarrukh Adashev) and his power and accuracy. He believes Schnell's year-long layoff after a KO loss will backfire against a fast starter like Nam, and that Schnell's chin is suspect at flyweight.

Big Brady picks Tyson Nam because he believes Nam's power will catch Rivera, who leaves openings on defense. He notes Rivera wants to take the fight to the ground but isn't great at getting it there, and Nam hits very hard. He predicts a first-round knockout, though he admits it's hard to bet on Nam due to low volume.
The host believes Jerome Rivera will be more active and offensive, using takedowns and cage work to outwork Tyson Nam. He notes Nam is a low-output fighter who relies on knockouts and rarely wins decisions, while Rivera has a solid chin and good movement. He expects Rivera to win by decision, as Nam is unlikely to finish him and will lose if he doesn't get a knockout.

The MMA Guru picks Tyson Nam, noting that Ryan Benoit has struggled since returning from a three-year layoff, losing to Jorge Vasquez and Heili Alateng. He believes Nam is a bigger guy and will get the jump on Benoit. He acknowledges the odds are even but favors Nam.

Daniel Levi picks Kai Kara-France by dominant decision, citing his higher output, ringmanship, and octagon experience. He acknowledges Tyson Nam's one-punch knockout power but believes Kara-France can avoid it and win the long game. Levi notes that Nam only throws hands and lacks variety, while Kara-France has a good right hand and better overall skills.
The host picks Kai Kara-France, noting his recent activity (three fights in 2019) and that his loss to Brandon Moreno is not a bad one. He believes Kara-France has a reach advantage over Tyson Nam despite Nam being bigger, and that Kara-France's younger, crisper striking will lead to a unanimous decision victory.

Angelo notes Ode' Osbourne is a southpaw with power and finishing ability, and has grappling as a backup. Zarrukh Adashev is a kickboxer with almost no ground game. Despite Osbourne looking slow in his last fight, Angelo believes Adashev is not the technical striker to exploit that, so Osbourne's power and grappling should secure the win.
Big Brady picks Ode' Osbourne to win by first-round submission. He notes Osbourne's massive size and reach advantage (7-inch reach advantage) over Adashev, and thinks Osbourne can take the fight to the mat and submit him. He mentions Osbourne's good ground game and submissions off his back, while Adashev is a kickboxer with a submission loss. He expects Osbourne to grapple and finish early, though he notes Osbourne doesn't always go for takedowns as much as he'd like.
Cody is uncertain, noting Osbourne's cardio issues and Adashev's one-dimensional striking. He thinks Osbourne's speed and reach should win, but he's not confident and likely won't bet.
Daniel Levi picks Ode' Osbourne, citing his size, reach, and improving skills. He notes that Adashev, despite a deceiving record, is smaller and likely outmatched. He believes Osbourne has multiple win conditions and sees the -185 price as reasonable, though he expects the line to move further. He picks Osbourne to win, possibly by finish.
Paul picks Osbourne but is not confident enough to bet. He notes Osbourne's reach advantage and speed, but worries about his cardio and tendency to fade. He thinks Osbourne will win the first two rounds and survive the third.
The MMA Guru picks Ode' Osbourne to win by 29-28 unanimous decision. He highlights Osbourne's massive eight-inch reach advantage and believes he will keep Adashev at range. He compares the matchup to Adashev's loss to Sumudaerji, where he was picked apart. He expects Osbourne to win the first two rounds clearly, with Adashev possibly having success in the third via calf kicks.

Big Brady picks Ryan Benoit, citing his finishing ability and power. He notes Benoit has multiple paths to victory: striking or grappling. He is unimpressed with Adashev, who has been finished in two of three losses. Brady predicts a first-round knockout for Benoit.
Cody leans towards Zarrukh Adashev as a slight underdog, noting that Benoit often fights with poor game plans and does not use his wrestling. He believes Adashev's striking is cleaner and that he can win a decision or even get a finish. However, he is not highly confident because Benoit has experience and power. He sees Adashev as a passive victory if Benoit fights stupid.
Levi acknowledges that Ryan Benoit should be favored due to his UFC experience and power, but notes Benoit has a tendency to make fights close and lose split decisions. He sees Adashev as a live underdog, especially given his kickboxing background and training with Frankie Edgar and Ricardo Almeida. Levi suggests this is a 'dog or pass' situation and slightly leans toward Adashev at the betting window, though he agrees Benoit is the rightful favorite.
Adashev has a kickboxing background and should have a striking advantage. Benoit has weight-cut issues and may lean on grappling, but Adashev's takedown defense is unproven. Adashev showed bright spots against Sumudaerji despite the loss. He should land the more effective strikes and take a decision. The plus money is appealing.
Paul does not make a clear pick, calling it a 'dog or pass' spot. He notes that Benoit has the wrestling advantage but often chooses not to use it, and Adashev has decent striking. He is not confident in either side and decides to pass.
The MMA Guru picks Ryan Benoit over Zarrukh Adashev, stating that Benoit has fought decent competition and has a reach advantage. He notes that Adashev's best achievement is going to a decision against Sumudaerji. He expects Benoit to win, as he is more talented and has the ability to harm opponents.

Back at flyweight, surging Chinese upstart Mudaerji (13-4, 2-1 UFC) steps in on short notice against Adashev (3-2, 0-1 UFC). Populating the cage along with these two quick men is referee Jason Herzog, and the touch of gloves is the first of many strikes to come. Mudaerji lands a powerful leg kick that makes Adashev change stances, but “The Lion” charges back with a left hand that makes Mudaerji stumble. Mudaerji gathers his thoughts and fires off a side kick that makes Adashev bounce away. Mudaerji swings and misses with another leg kick, but he lands one from his other leg. Mudaerji just barely misses a head kick, and he ducks out of the way when Adashev darts at him. The Chinese fighter chips away at the lead leg a few more times, all while evading a looping combination from his foe. Mudaerji works the lead leg as Adashev has changed stances, and he sticks Adashev with a right hand when Adashev comes in at him. Adashev swings and misses once more, with Mudaerji able to keep him at arm’s reach thanks to a significant reach advantage. Mudaerji gets off a sharp jab, and he looks for a right hook but Adashev does not come at him this time. Mudaerji peppers the lead leg with kicks, only to change it up with a kick up high to keep his foe guessing. Adashev hits nothing but air with a wide combination, allowing Mudaerji to land a stiff body kick and a leg kick from afar. Mudaerji lunges with a jab, and when he reaches out another, Adashev lands a heavy left hand. Mudaerji backs off, and Adashev is on him and connects with a right hand as well. Mudaerji looks to counter with a right hand when Adashev advances, and he stings Adashev with a right hook as Adashev has no choice but to blitz forward. Mudaerji slaps out a jab, and another breaks up a prospective combination from his opponent. The round ends.

Round 2
Mudaerji offers a glove touch, and his foe obliges him before taking a punch across the forward bow. Adashev charges in to attack, and although he misses with the majority of his strikes, one punch at the end of a shot collides with the chin. Mudaerji takes a quick count of his teeth before pushing out with a front kick. Adashev once more tries his charge, and this time Mudaerji is ready for it as he snipes him with a few jabs and a left hand. Adashev crashes the pocket to force a grappling exchange, but Mudaerji keeps his balances and pushes off to prevent any possible takedown. When Mudaerji attempts a spinning kick, Adashev circles around to take his back and slams his right hand in the side of Mudaerji’s head repeatedly. Mudaerji powers back up, and he barely misses getting clipped with a left hook. Mudaerji jumps and lands a switch kick, but Adashev brushes it off and circles away. When Mudaerji tries to land a body kick, Adashev drops him with a right hand. “The Tibetan Eagle” quickly leaps back to his feet, and his hands are down as he tries to pressure his opponent but gets tagged once more. Mudaerji lands a few punches and a front kick up the middle to get back into his groove, and he ducks away to dodge the strikes that come his way. As Adashev races forward, Mudaerji cracks him with a right hand. Adashev gets nailed with another right hand, and he turns away for a moment and falls into the fence. Mudaerji chains together a few punches as he chases him, but he lets Adashev off the hook and backs off. A possibly recovered Adashev circles the edge of the cage to gather his thoughts, and he swings and misses with a looping right hand. Mudaerji fakes a flying knee to get Adashev to retreat, and he lands a leg kick as Adashev’s volume has completely fallen away. Mudaerji chips away with a few kicks before the horn blares.

Round 3
Mudaerji begins the final round with a kick, and when Adashev tries to come at him with strikes, Mudaerji ducks away and lands another kick. Mudaerji has a head kick blocked, and he defends himself from the looping right hand that soars towards his face. Adashev is well short of his target as Mudaerji jabs at him from a great distance, all while Mudaerji kicks at him. The feints and fakes from Mudaerji are getting Adashev to react and guess, allowing Mudaerji to tee off on him with long punches and leg kicks. The pace wanes as Mudaerji is in his groove with his hands by his waist, throwing head kicks and wildly inaccurate spinning kicks unconcerned about the response. Adashev loads up on his punches but they are not able to get any traction, with Mudaerji styling on him with single, effective strikes. Mudaerji takes a leg kick as he hops out of the way, and a body kick gets blocked but still has some impact. Adashev gets off a solid right hand, and Mudaerji stops and mocks him to claim the strike did not do anything. Adashev whiffs but is pressuring his opponent, who is now struggling to keep his range and land anything of merit. Mudaerji hops forward with a left hand, and Adashev charges like a bull with booming punches. Adashev throws bombs, and falls over with how hard he is throwing, but Mudaerji rolls with the punches and lands one final spinning wheel kick for good measure. The fight ends, and Mudaerji sticks his tongue out.
